So we got to the US Capitol first & stood in line to get tickets for a tour that would start 3 hours later. Next was a quick jaunt down to the Washington Monument to get tickets for their tours, also a few hours later. And back it was to the Capitol building with a brief stop at the National Museum of American History before hand. After our short tour in the building that our lawmakers pass the rules of the land, we took our crew back towards that pointy object named after our first President.

We stopped first though in the National Museum of the American Indian and had lunch. We were so impressed with the building not to mention our lunch; we decided to come back later on to explore it. But the Washington Monument was beckoning for our presence and off we went. The most striking thing about this monument? The fact there is no statue for our first President.

It was quite a whirlwind that day. And we sure got some exercise we badly needed.
