snow storm in CS

well today is snowed. you may say so what? yet we don't get snow very often down here i these parts. in fact is usually happens maybe once every few years. so we were kind of due. most of the time though when it snows it doesn't stick around very long. if we get an hour that's considered lucky. 

today was different. it snowed last night and there it was on the ground this morning when i woke up. surprise. it was exciting, just not earth shattering. maybe if i hadn't lived in chicago for 3+ years. still is nice to see the white stuff. 

later in the afternoon after making a short trek to houston for some furniture and coming back i found myself in something i never thought i would. well not here anyways. it was a full blown snow storm. yup visibility was quite limited and that snow stuff was whiffing everywhere. who would have thought i'd be driving in a snow storm in this part of texas? not me. it'll be gone by tomorrow though and life will return back to normal.
