some goals

sometimes we get ourselves in a rut and find ourselves following a script less of our wishes and more of others. and even more insidious is the fact most of the time it creeps upon us ever so slowly that we can't recognize the signs. we just accept it for what it is. without acknowledgging it bears little to what we had imagine.

at some point we are afforded a moment of perspective and occasionally one of reflection. a wise person nows when to take advantage of it, and the fool lets it slip by with barely a notice or worse yet by not even caring. taken with a proper attitude, these moments can prove to be helpful.

i have made many poor choices in life, but few i can honestly regret with a sadness in my heart. after the past couple of years i can now add a couple more to that tiny list. i have learned of some more of my personal limitations. it's time for me to take responsibilty for my actions, clean up some of the ugliness i've been capable of, and move on.

accept, learn, and move forward.

on the note of moving forward, i have decided to pursue a few goals some more concrete than others. but some fun stuff to be sure.

Flying- i plan to loosely follow in my dad's footsteps and learn to fly. just not an F5 fighter jet.
Scuba- as much for the ying yang aspect of flying as well as the prospect of exploring anew

Truck- a more practical goal, want a second vehicle just in case, and a vehicle for utility at that

House- adding hardwood floors/landscaping, to improve the future selling points of the abode.

this should keep me preoccupied for a bit as a segway from a two office 5.5 day a week schedule to a one office 4.5 day a week pace.

there's still some excitement to be had. life sure doesn't slow down much for anything.
